GAMESS at MCSR

The General Atomic and Molecular Electronic Structure System (GAMESS) is a general ab initio quantum chemistry package, maintained by the members of the Gordon research group at Iowa State University. MCSR has a no-cost, academic site license to run GAMESS on our systems, and so we have made it available for MCSR researchers on sweetgum and mimosa.

On sweetgum, we are running the February 2002 release of GAMESS. Instructions for running a parallel GAMESS job on sweetum are available in the May 2002 issue of the MCSR-s E-Newsletter: The Parallel-O-Gram.

GAMESS on Mimosa has undergone a recent upgrade and we are now running the July 2005 release of GAMESS. Documents to help our users run GAMESS jobs, as well as instructions to build and test GAMESS on Mimosa are here.

If you have any questions about running GAMESS jobs, please contact assist@ mcsr.olemiss.edu
