GSL at MCSR

The GNU Scientific Library (GSL) is a numerical library for C and C++ programmers. The library provides a wide range of mathematical routines such as random number generators, special functions and least-squares fitting. There are over 1000 functions in total.

MCSR has version GSL-1.7 installed on Sweetgum. It was released on 14 September 2005. Please go though the instructions for compiling and running your GSL jobs as they are a little different from the general instructions for using GSL.

If you have any questions about running GSL jobs, please contact assist@mcsr.olemiss.edu

Problems encountered during build and install on Sweetgum have also been documented here.
