The University of Mississippi MATLAB Site License 2012 Renewal & Reactivation Information This year's MATLAB site license is funded by the following departments and centers at UM & UMMC: The Center for Manufacturing ExcellenceThe UM School of Engineering The UM Office of Research and Sponsored Programs The UM Department of Physics and Astronomy The Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College The National Center for Physical Acoustics The National Center for Computational Hydroscience and Engineering The Mississippi Center for Supercomputing Research The University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) Office of Research The UMMC Department of Anatomy The UMMC Department of Otolaryngology and Communicative Sciences The UMMC Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior Software installation packages for supported platforms (Windows, MAC, Linux, and Solaris) may be downloaded directly from The MathWorks Web site. Each prospective user should create an individual account at mathworks.com, where you will be asked to supply the respective activation code (employee or student) for the UM site license. WebID-authenticated UM students and employees may access the activation codes, and download platform-specific installation instructions, from the myOleMiss Portal. Once signed into my.olemiss.edu, select the Student (or Employee) Tab, then the Tools & Resources sub-tab, followed by the Software folder, and the MATLAB item. The installation process involves creating an online account at The MathWorks Web site: UM employees and students should use their assigned @olemiss.edu e-mail address for this account. The following tools and toolboxes are included with the site license: MATLAB, Simulink, Bioinformatics, Control System, Curve Fitting, Data Acquisition, Image Processing, Instrument Control, Optimization, Signal Processing, SimMechanics, Stateflow, Statistics, Simscape, Symbolic Math, & Parallel Computing. If you need a MATLAB toolbox that is not listed here, please e-mail assist@mcsr.olemiss.edu to discuss options for contributing funds to add the tools you need. Note that we also have a license for Distributed Computing Server, which may be used on the MCSR Sequoia cluster by faculty and students from any public university in Mississippi, during the trial period.
