UM MATLAB Site License Renewed through Spring 2013
RENEWAL & REACTIVATION NOTE:
The site license has been renewed for the year starting April 1, 2012, and ending March 30, 2013. Installations performed prior to April 1, 2012, will need to be REACTIVATED in order to continue working past April 30, 2012.
The MATLAB site license (including 15 tools & toolboxes) for The University of Mississippi has been renewed, and expanded to include the UM Medical Center. As before, installation is permitted on any MAC, PC, or Linux workstation owned by the University or any of its currently enrolled students or employees.
STANDALONE RE-ACTIVATIONS
To reactivate your current Windows or MAC installation: start MATLAB, then choose Help->Licensing->Update Current Licenses. Choose "License 586002: Total Academic Headcount Student - Standalone Named User". Click OK a series of times. Restart MATLAB for the changes to take effect.
For lab installations, you will need to download the new license.dat from myOleMiss and then perform a manual installation without using the Interent:Help->Licensing->Activate Software, and then follow the prompts to activate WITHOUT using the Internet.
For new installations or version upgrades to the lastest release, 2010a, use your UM-issued e-mail account name to login to The MathsWorks Web site and download the software. (My Account->My Downloads->Get Licensed Products and Updates.) If prompted for the activation code for our site license, it can be found, along with supplementary instructions, at myOleMiss, under Employee/Student->Tools & Resources->Software->MATLAB.
For additional details about the site license, including lists of this year's included toolboxes and 12 sponsoring departments and centers at UM & UMMC, see the main MCSR MATLAB Web site.
Questions regarding access, renewal, or installation issues should be e-mailed to assist@mcsr.olemiss.edu.
