Introducing MyMCSR

Logging In to MyMCSR

You may login to your MyMCSR account from almost any page on the MCSR website. Just look for the Login link in the upper left portion of the page under the row of tabs.
Important facts about logging in to MyMCSR:

  • You must login to enjoy the benefits of your MyMCSR account.
  • If you are the sole user of a computer, you may choose to set a cookie to login automatically.
  • Using the Logout button ends your session and deletes your cookie (if one is set).
  • Simply exit your browser without logging out to retain your cookie

My Current Jobs

One of the features of MyMCSR that you will benefit most from is the "My Current Jobs" feature. Notice that it provides you with a list of your jobs that are running. Queued jobs are not listed in this report. Important facts about My Current Jobs:

  • You can use this tool to quickly verify that your jobs are running.
  • Clicking on the job name hyperlink displays a page with detailed information about that job.

My Finished Jobs

To view your jobs that have finished running use the "My Finished Jobs" feature. Notice that it provides you with a list of your jobs that are no longer running. Important facts about My Finished Jobs:

  • You can use this tool to compare jobs that were run in different environments
  • Clicking on the job name hyperlink displays a page with detailed information about that job.

System Current Jobs

"System Current Jobs" is a list of jobs that are running at MCSR. Queued jobs are not listed in this report.

System Finished Jobs

"System Finished Jobs" is a list of jobs that are through running at MCSR. By default the last 100 jobs are displayed. You may choose to review the last 250 jobs and, in the future, 500 and 1000.

Coming Soon to MyMCSR

The MyMCSR portion of the MCSR website is still under development. However, some of the new functionality may be enjoyed now. In addition to the changes that have been made the following items will be developed over the next few months.

  • Sort capability will be added to the Job History and Current Jobs reports.
  • "Email this link" functionality will be added to the Job Details report.
  • "MyInfo" will be developed as the interface for the management of your MyMCSR account (not accounts on supercomputers).
  • "MyPublications" and "MyGrants" will be developed and connected to "MyInfo."
  • "MyAccounts" will be developed as the interface for the management of your Unix accounts.
  • Advisors will have the ability to view their advisees' jobs.
  • "MyUsage" will be developed as a private summary report of supercomputer usage.
  • "MyDiskUsage" will be a real time report of your disk usage stats.
