Research Computing Training: Math/Stats/UNIX/Linux/Chemistry Software Workshops and Help Sessions
MCSR provides free research computing training workshops on request to students and faculty at Mississippi's public Universities. These workshops fall into four categories:
Stat/Statistics Software,
Math Software,
Computational Chemistry Software, and
Unix/Programming.
This is a good opportunity to get acquainted with the computing tools and MCSR consultants available in support of your research computing tasks. We validate student attendance for extra course credit, where offered.
During the Fall 2012 semester, MCSR will offer several workshops on the University of Mississippi campus to help train users to utilize the servers and software we administrate.
Each workshop will be offered twice during a single week, on
Wednesday and Thursday at 3pm
. Each workshop will be approximately one hour long. With one noted exception, all workshops will be held in room 107 of Weir Hall.
