Fourier Analysis is an important part of the sciences and engineering and is used daily by technical professionals. The University of Mississippi Office of Information Technology presents a thirty minute seminar on performing Fourier calculations with Mathematica. In this seminar, basic Fourier calculations are performed with Mathematica and the results are compared with the results of a similar software, Matlab. The seminar shows commands to perform basic Fourier Analysis on data sets and Fourier transforms are also performed on basic functions/expressions. A step-by-step procedure for obtaining the Fourier spectrum for the function e^-2*t is also included in the presentation.
