by Taner Pirim

ABAQUS/CAE

If you are receiving this error message while trying to display ABAQUS/CAE (or ABAQUS/Viewer) remotely from a UNIX machine to a PC:

Exception 'Exception: xmd_ResourceErr: Insufficient system resource available. in file /usr/abaqus60/6v2_copy/source/xmd/impl/xmd_XMediaRole.C at line110' exiting job.

The solution of this problem on Windows 95/98/NT systems is to configure the display device to have 256 colors. To configure the PC display device to use 256 colors as shown below.

  • Right-click an open area of the Windows desktop.
  • In the menu that appears, select Properties. In the Display Properties window click Settings.
  • Click the down arrow in the list next to Color Palette and select 256 colors.

If you have any questions regarding the wireless card installation for pocket PCs, please email to assist@mcsr.olemiss.edu. [an error occurred while processing this directive]
