The 2004 Meeting of the Mississippi Academy of Sciences will be held February 19 and 20 at the Broadwater Hotel in Biloxi. MCSR Consultants Taner Pirim and Tyler Simon will be presenting a paper entitled "PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF LINEAR ALGEBRA AND NUMERICAL AERODYNAMIC SIMULATION BENCHMARKS ON THE MCSR BEOWULF LINUX CLUSTER" that Thursday at 11:10 in the Ship Isle room. Dr. Sam Gordji and Dr. Virginia Moore will present a paper entitled "LOOPING EFFECT ON KINDERGARTEN AND FIRST GRADERS" at 09:30 in the Ship Isle room. Haibo Wang will present a paper entitled "A NEW METHODOLOGY FOR CLUSTERING GENOMICS and HEALTHCARE DATA" (working paper with Dr. Bahram Alidaee, Dr. Fred Glover and Dr. Gary Kochenberger) at 1:00 in the Ship Isle room. In addition to these MCSR-related presentations, the Mississippi Supercomputer Users' Advisory Group (MSUAG) will conduct its annual meeting at 14:00 in the Ship Isle room. All MCSR reseachers who are at MAS that day are invited to sit in on this meeting, where we will discuss the state of MCSR, recent accomplishments, and future directions. |
