A new release of Matlab, release 14 of version 7, is now installed on willow. This release includes major upgrades to 29 products, including 14 new ones. The willow installation contains, in addition to Matlab, the following five Toolboxes: Bioinfomatics, Neural Networks, Statistics, Control Systems, and Symbolic Math. MCSR has 30-user instructional license for using Matlab on willow, which means no more than 30 student users are allowed to access Matlab on willow at one time. (The Control Systems and Symbolic Math toolboxes are only 14-user licenses.) Additional Toolboxes may be added on willow at the user’s request if the user is willing to pay the cost which is usually less than $500.00.
The current Matlab release on sweetgum is 13. The sweetgum installation contains Matlab, Simulink, Neural Network, Optimization, and Spline Toolboxes. MCSR has 5-user research license for using Matlab on sweetgum, which means that 5 users are allowed to access Matlab on sweetgum at one time.
