In addition to supporting computational research, MCSR supports computational instruction in a number of ways. Any student at any public Mississippi university may have an instructional account on any MCSR computer for the duration of their enrollment at their institution. In addition, faculty members can request class accounts for all of the students enrolled in a course, and those accounts are good for a single semester.
For the Spring 2005 semester, MCSR supported over 287 class accounts for 13 classes at 4 IHL's. This is by far the most classes and IHLs that have been supported in one semester.

If you would like to add a computational component to a course you are teaching this upcoming year, please email assist@mcsr.olemiss.edu to find out what resources are available, and to request a set of accounts for your class. In some cases, depending on costs and with enough lead time, software that you need, but that is not already available on MCSR systems, can be installed and tested in time for your class. If desired, MCSR Consultants can come to your campus/classroom and give you and your students a short orientation workshop to get started using the accounts on the system.
