Loaner books are available at all sings. Any edition will work if you are
bringing your own. For the two all-day sings, Hamburg and Bethel, you may
bring food to place on the common table, or just bring your own plate and
utensils; there is usually plenty of food to share. For further

- January 1 - Weavers Mennonite Church, 7 p.m. Held every year since
1902. On US 33 west of Harrisonburg, Va., about 2.5 miles west
of town. The church is a large graystone building on the south (left) side of
the road immediately west of the WSVA radio station.
- January 1--Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary, 3003 Benham Ave,
Elkhart, Indiana. 10:00 am to 3:30 pm. From US 20 bypass, exit north on
Indiana 19, 1/2 mile to Mishawaka Road, then east 3 miles to Benham Ave.
- First Sunday - Virginia Mennonite Retirement Center, 3:30 p.m.
Strite Auditorium (notice a change from Detwiler Chapel, and change in
time), second floor of Crestwood, the building closest to the
street, to the left of main entrance of retirement center on Virginia Ave.
(Rt. 42) just north of Harrisonburg.
- First Sunday - "Easter Singing"--Harrisonburg Mennonite Church. 7 p.m. From
I-81, take the James Madison University/Port Republic Road exit. (Exit 240)
Go west on Maryland Ave. (into town) about one mile, through the first
traffic light (which is South Main St. or U.S. 11) and cross two sets of
railroad tracks. Turn left at the next traffic light onto High Street. The
church is about 1.5 miles later, on the left side of the road. It stands on
a hill off the road, but there is a sign on High Street shortly after you
pass a car wash on the left.
- First Sunday - Trissel's Mennonite Church. 7 p.m. Small sing at the
one of the oldest Mennonite churches in the Valley. Take Hwy 42
north of Harrisonburg, Va. to Hwy 809 (if driving north, turn left onto 809 a
few miles after you pass Linville. Go about two miles to Hwy 752 and turn
right. The church is on your right. You may wish to contact Sam Showalter,

singing.
- First Sunday - Detweiler Meetinghouse, 10:30-3:00, Roseville,
North Dumfries Township, near Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.
This will be the second annual Harmonia Sacra singing at this beautifully
restored oldest Mennonite meeting house in Canada. Further information can

- First Sunday Night - Dayton Mennonite Church. 7:00 p.m.
Annual singing in Dayton, Virginia. The church is on the east side
of Hwy 42 just south of the town of Dayton, which is a few miles
south of Harrisonburg VA.
- First Sunday - Old Hamburg Church. 10 a.m., dinner on the grounds
followed by afternoon singing. The most unique of the Valley sings, held in a
165-year old log meetinghouse with excellent acoustics. From
I-81, take the New Market exit (US 211) and drive east, over the
mountain. After crossing the Shenandoah River, turn north (left) onto Hwy 766
and go a mile or so to the small village of Hamburg, west of Luray. The old
church is on the left.
- First Sunday - Bethel Mennonite Church. 10 a.m., dinner on the
grounds followed by afternoon singing. Directions: Bethel is located west of
Broadway, Va. on a hill on the left of Hwy 612 (note change). From
Harrisonburg, take Hwy 42 north to Broadway,
then take Hwy 259 west (left). After about 2-3 miles, turn north (right) on
Hwy 612. The church is 3-4 miles from 259.
- First Sunday - Community Center, Singers Glen VA., the home
of the Harmonia Sacra. 4:00 p.m. in the old school house on the south
edge of the
village of Singers Glen, 7 miles northwest of Harrisonburg VA.
