The thirty-second annual all-day Oxford Sacred Harp singing (formerly held at City Hall) will be held on Sunday, March 11, 2012, beginning at 9:45 am sharp, in the Choral Room of the Music Building at the east end of the beautiful Oxford campus of the University of Mississippi. Those coming to Oxford from the east on U.S. highway 278 (also known as highway 6) will go one half-mile past the downtown exit, and take the very next exit for "Old Taylor Road"; turn right and proceed one half-mile north, past the baseball field, to the very next building. From Memphis or Jackson, take I-55 to Batesville and US 278 (hwy 8) to Oxford, take the third Oxford exit (Old Taylor Road), turn left and proceed as above. The choral room is in the nearest section of this building: turn right into the parking lot, park near the south end of the building, and go in the southernmost door, or take the handicap ramps to the next door to the north. Potluck dinner will be served just down the hall. The map below shows how to find the Music Building, and its relationship to the scenic Courthouse Square, where you may wish to tour or shop on your visit. Please note that March 11 is the first day of daylight savings time.
